This ring is inspired by Karolina Widerström (1856-1949), Sweden's first female doctor who graduated in 1888. Karolina specialized in gynecology and was a pioneer in women's health. Through her own practice, she became deeply involved in educating women about their bodies, sexuality and STDs. Despite strong opposition, she lectured, wrote articles and books, and fought to improve conditions for women, especially single mothers and in the fight against prostitution.
